Well, took me about 12 hours to read the book, got it at lunch time yesterday, finished at midnight.

This was a great idea posted on the TH forum earlier on getting the lads nominated for some awards (thanks Midori).

"If you go to Kerrang Awards you can put in your votes in categories like Best British Band, Best Live Band etc. There´s also the Best International Newcomer categorie where I voted for Tokio Hotel. The musicians with the most votes get nominated. I don´t know if we can get enough votes together to get the guys actually nominated but even if not it would still show Kerrang! that there is a demand for the band if as many people as possible go and vote and maybe that will mean Tokio Hotel will get a feature in the magazine. So get voting please!"

I also voted for them in the best album category with Scream - Tokio Hotel.

So after getting the vids up onto youtube, turned my hand to uploading all my photos of the Tokio Hotel London gig as well - another two days and swearing at the uploader, which kept failing...

What an absolutely fabulous gig, and I think I spent most of it with the camera up to my eye. There's 200 photos under this link of varying quality - I was not using a flash most of the time, so the shutter speed was slow and those lads move really fast, so there are some surreal pics, some scary pics and some really cool pics.

Feel free to browse (there are thumbnails and then two sizes of each pic, a small one for preview, which you can click on to see the massive 10.1 Megapixel one, which may take a while to come up). Also be aware, the thumbnails take a square from the centre of the picture, so you won't see a full preview from the thumbnail. Please no hotlinking, and if you do reuse, a credit would be nice.

P.S. There's really quite a lot of Georg - not only was he mostly on my side of the stage, but the guy is just sex on legs! Apologies for no decent pictures of Gustav - I tried, I really did, but from where I was, I was lucky if I could see his face between the cymbals let alone anything else and I cacked up the only two shots where he ventured out onto the stage proper.

Well, what can I say, went to see Tokio Hotel in concert yesterday and they were MAGNIFICENT! The Carling Academy, Islington is a really intimate venue, and the lads put on a thunderous show. Most of my pictures are motion-blurred *pout*, because I wasn't using a flash (that's their motion, not mine, BTW), they had so much energy, bouncing all over the stage. What a night!
But that wasn't the best of it - I got to meet the band SQUEEEE! There were ten of us at the meet and greet and a security guy comes in first and tells us the drill, reminds us that these are four normal guys and basically to stay calm. I was calm, in a hubbah hubbah sort of way. Wow, when they walked in - if those boys are good looking from a distance, shaking their hands and looking into their eyes was like being hit by a train, make that four trains, one after the other (I don't remember much clearly after that)! They were lovely, polite and friendly and they signed anything we stuck under their noses. Bill and Tom are truly beautiful, what bone-structure! Gustav is handsome and he introduced himself by name - aww, I might have forgotten my own name at that point, but I remembered his. However, it was Georg who knocked me for six! The man is sex on legs, and his smile made my heart go flitter-flutter. I just about managed 'Danke Schon' after he signed my Zimmer 483 CD booklet. I recovered enough to take pictures of the guys and have mine taken with them. One piccie under this ( cut )
Then came the gig! All English versions of the songs. Must admit, couldn't hear the words too clearly, I was by the side of the stage in the disabled area, 'cause Tash couldn't stand up for the whole gig, but who needs words when there's a drop-dead gorgeous bassist two metres away girating to the music?! I'm a bit peeved about my photos, but I half expected that when I had to change the settings to turn off the flash - the shutter speed was just too slow for that frenetic activity. Although, got some interesting effects by accident when they were moving really, really fast (or I was - so on the first one of Bill and Georg, I think I was bouncing):

I haven't processed any of the others yet - got a few that weren't blurred to hell and back.
All in all, a truely great experience and now I feel like it's the day after Christmas, slightly deflated and wishing I could do it all again, but so happy that I got the chance to meet the guys face to face!
Now I have to get to work *sigh* - back to reality.

Okay - so this may be a little OTT - but any publicity is good publicity, so I thought I'd share.
